MOBILE, Alabama -- Sixty nine of the best young musicians in the region and Mobile Symphony Orchestra Principal Clarinetist John Craig Barker will come together for the first Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra concert of the season on Sunday, Nov. 2 at the Mobile Civic Center. Barker and the MSYO, led by music director Rob Seebacher, will join forces for Mozart's Clarinet Concerto and more pieces.
Judicial commission says extension gave Thompson unfair edge

By granting Rickey Thompson additional time to respond, the Supreme Court gave the Lee County Justice Court Judge an unfair advantage, according to the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance. "Thompson had twelve days to study the arguments raised in the Commission's Brief and attempt to draft responses to those arguments," wrote commission executive director Darlene Ballard.
